Cancelling an individual payment

You can cancel a payment before it's been submitted to the banking system - this is usually around one working day after the payment has been created.

To cancel an individual payment, log into your GoCardless account at, click the Payments tab in the dashboard navigation bar, then select the payment you wish to cancel. You'll then see the payment timeline, with a link to Cancel payment at the top right if it hasn't bee submitted to the banking system
